It is very important during winter weather conditions that as much snow as possible is removed from your Shade Sails (ideally kept to a minimum of 4 inches).
This can be achieved by using a soft broom from underneath the Shade or from stepladders around the perimeter of the sail – ***Please take care when using steps!***
If snow at the centre of the sail cannot be reached, remove as much as possible from all other areas.

Themed Shade Solution
It’s not just schools and nurseries that benefit from Shade Sails. Increasingly, more and more comercial companies and organisations from different industries are turning their outdoor areas into practable, usable space. Whether after a stylish solution for a smoking shelter or a stunning shade for alfresco dining, Safe Shade can create the ideal solution.
For projects that require something a little different our Custom Shade Sails are perfect. One of our favourite projects we had the pleasure of working on was for Derby City Hospital’s new Children’s Department (project featured in Building for Leisure, Aug 2010).
Working closely with architects, Matthew Montague, our team of design engineers created ‘an imaginative, bespoke solution that provided an inspiring space…’
The final design incorporated UV filtering fabric together with stainless steel support posts and colour changing LED lights.

In this country we are weather obsessed – at Safe Shade we are no different!
Whatever the weather, we have great shade solutions for you. After today’s constant drizzle I thought it a perfect time to mention our Retractable Umbrellas.
Waterproof as well as protecting from harmful UV rays, our Retractable Umbrellas are the perfect, cost effective solution if your space or budget is a little restrictive!

After the long summer break, it’s time to get back to school!
Hope you’ve all had fun in the holidays? We’ve been busy installing lots of shade sails ready for the new term, so some nice colourful playgrounds to welcome children and staff back!
Fingers crossed we get a little more sunshine before the dark nights and cold weather start to creep back in…if not, there’s always our weatherproof shade sails, so all can enjoy being outside come rain or shine!
