Centrally based in the East Midlands, Safe Shade is a division of the long established TEW Engineering Ltd. Based in Nottingham, TEW was incorporated over 35 years ago and today comprises of 4 distinct trading divisions: TEW, Caliba, Industrial Automation and Safe Shade. In-house facilities cover all aspects of design, manufacture, testing and installation. Our client focussed approach and high-quality standards have enabled us to have the pleasure of working with such high profile clients as Center Parcs, English Heritage, Halfords and Rolls Royce in addition to many schools, nurseries and prominent universities and councils.

TEW Engineering Ltd. is registered to ISO 9001:2008 and every aspect of Safe Shade design, manufacture and installation follow the same exacting quality procedures. We adopt a "Right First Time, On Time" approach and strive for continual improvement.

Our key inspiration for Safe Shade is children, keeping them safe from the damaging effects of UV rays whilst helping to encourage outdoor activity at schools and nurseries which is actively encouraged by the National Curriculum.

Safe Shade are delighted to be members of BESA (British Education Suppliers Association) and Learning through Landscapes, (an organisation which actively helps and advises schools and early settings to make the most of their outdoor spaces). We are also CHAS accredited in addition to our site teams all being CRB checked.
